A year plenty of rebounds

Passion and hard work

2003 is a year plenty of rebounds. In April 2003, some members of Aero Retro team visit M. Giancarlo Zanardo in Italy. He built a Wright Flyer I 1903 flying replica, with some differences with the authentic Flyer.

In September 2003, the 1908 Wright Flyer III main frame is completed by Aero Retro.

On 16th December 2003 few members of Aero Retro - including Fran�ois Payeur and Andr� Marseul - visit the Estaca students association, at Fontaine-Simon near La Loupe. These students in engineering built a Flyer I and wish to make an airborn on the 1st flight centennial day of heavier than air airplane, i.e. on 17th december 2003. "Bet" made ! The Flyer makes a slight take-off on few meters distance...

At the same time another member of Aero Retro, Marc Denoueix, is the only French from Le Mans and Sarthe to be present during the First Flight Centennial of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina (USA). He makes there many contacts with historians, the Wright family and the Wright Experience Co. which built the only "exact" replica in world of a 1903 Wright Flyer I (including the Wright engine).
