A Wright family member discovers the 1st monument ever erected to honor the Wrights
That day of June 2005, Amanda WRIGHT LANE discovers for the 1st time the very 1st monument historically erected to honor the WRIGHT brothers and the precursors of aviation. The corner stone is laid on 22nd December 1918 and the monument is inaugurated on 17th July 1920, long before all other monuments built elsewhere in the world and in USA.The guide is Mr. Jürgen KLÖTGEN, president of Historical and Archeological Society of Maine (est.1875), member of the Historical Monuments Commission.
